Frances E. Masiero, 91, of Cobb Road in West Stockbridge died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at her home.
Born in Hinesburg, Vermont, she was the daughter of Philip and Ruberta Kimball Eddy. She attended local schools and graduated from Johnson Normal School in Johnson, Vermont with a degree in teaching. She taught school in Vermont for three years prior to World War II. During the war she worked as a telephone operator in Los Angeles, California and as a production worker at General Electric in Pittsfield.
Frances married John J. Masiero on March 2, 1946 in Burlington, Vermont. The couple made their home in West Stockbridge.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in West Stockbridge as well as a past member of the Community Health Association of Richmond and West Stockbridge and the West Stockbridge American Legion Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, John J. Masiero in June 2004.
In addition to her brothers and sisters, Frances is survived by her son John J. Masiero, Jr. and his wife Ada, her granddaughter Claudia Colombari and her husband Peter and three great-grandchildren Eve, Caleb and Devin.
In accordance with her wishes services will be private.
