Edmund Freeman Ormsbee, III

Mr. Edmund Freeman Ormsbee, III, 45, of Sisson Hill in New Marlborough, MA died suddenly Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, MA.

A native and lifelong resident of the area, he was born August 16, 1964 in Pittsfield, MA, the son of Britt Marie Magnusson Ormsbee and the late James Ormsbee. He attended local schools and was a 1982 graduate of Mount Everett Regional High School in Sheffield, MA.

For the past ten years he drove truck for Bonsal American in Cannan, CT. Previously he had worked for Connecticut Sand and Gravel for 14 years.

Edmund is survived by his wife of 27 years, the former Paula Wach. He also leaves his two sons, Brandon Ormsbee and his wife, Tiffany of Green Bay, WI and Charles Ormsbee, at home and his girlfriend, Emily Reardon, along with two grandchildren, Collin and Hayden Ormsbee and his sister, Jamie Zucco of Sheffield, MA.

He was predeceased by his father, James Ormsbee and his beloved uncle, Freeman Ormsbee.

Funeral service celebrating the life of the late Edmund F. Ormsbee, III, will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington, MA, conducted by Rev. Charles VanAusdall.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Great Barrington.
