Gloria F. Stanisz

May 29, 1931 — April 18, 2018

Gloria F. Stanisz of Park Street in Housatonic passed away at Fairview Hospital on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the age of 86.

Born in Pittsfield, MA on May 29, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Dominco and Maria Passetti Ferrari. She grew up in West Stockbridge and was graduate of the former Williams High School in Stockbridge. She has been a resident of Housatonic since 1957.

Gloria was a talented seamstress and worked at the Housatonic Curtain Company for over 20 years until she retired in 2008. She enjoyed trivia, crossword puzzles and watching birds.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 58 years, Stanley “Louie” Stanisz whom she married on May 9, 1959. She also leaves her son David Stanisz, daughter-in-law Shannon Stanisz-Barton, her grandson Cameron Stanisz and three sisters, Adelia Placido, Clara Keithler and Flora Caligacomo.

There will be a get together to celebrate Gloria’s life on Saturday, April 28th at 1:00 p.m. at the family home in Housatonic.
