Adair Jean Dellea

September 10, 1948 — December 24, 2022

Adair Jean Dellea passed away on Saurday, December 24, 2022 at the age of 74. She was born on September 10, 1948 in Barre, VT the daughter of Arthur Martel and Elizabeth Hall.

Adair was a loving wife and mother, a generous friend, and a skilled homemaker and entrepreneur. She made money through sewing, quilting, crafting, baking and housekeeping, and she always generously made gifts for all of her friends and family. Adair did all of these things while suffering with chronic migraines.

She had a stroke at 38, which rendered her incapable of completing even basic tasks. She had tremendous determination and fought her way back to recovery. She relearned everything and continued life. She got back into her sewing and crafts, enjoyed going on cross-country adventures with her husband Bruce, and she adored her dogs, cats and pet squirrels.

In 2007, Adair suffered a brain bleed at 59, which confined her to a wheelchair. Despite the new challenges, she pressed on with profound strength and was thankful to be at home with her caring husband Bruce. They just celebrated 56 years together in September.

Adair enjoyed bird-watching, puzzles, crosswords, games and spending time with her grandchildren. Adair had an upbeat personality that would light up whenever anyone came to visit her, and she loved talking to people. Throughout her life she overcame tremendous medical issues with enthusiastic determination and a positive, joyful outlook, she was a true survivor.

Adair is survived by her husband Bruce, son Arthur Dellea and wife Rebekah and three grandchildren Samuel, Talitha and Josiah. Sister Jane Thorn and husband Tom of PA. Brother-in- law Leopold Damm of FL. Sister-in-law Mildred Eichstedt and husband Leon of Southfield, MA. Various nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Andrew Dellea, sister Carol Damm, and her parents.
