Agnes Kathryn Peron

September 1, 1940 — March 3, 2026

Lee

Agnes Kathryn Peron, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, at Kimball Farms in Lenox, MA. Born on September 1 st, 1940, to the late Dominic and Cora Bisscotti. She was a graduate of Classical High School in Springfield, MA, and received her Bachelor of Music from The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA.

Music was one of Agnes’s passions. When her father realized she could play the piano by ear before she even attended elementary school, he purchased her a baby grand piano. While attending The New England Conservatory, she trained classically as an opera singer, and her love of music led her to a career in music education as a supervisor of music, curriculum leader, and band and choral director/conductor in various schools throughout Berkshire County.

As a performer, she toured with The New England Conservatory Chorus. She performed with The Boston Symphony Orchestra, including a special performance with Robert Frost.

Though music was always a part of Agnes' life, she decided to follow her true passion, Medicine. While working at Berkshire Medical Center, she continued her studies and became one of the first registered vascular technologists at BMC. She was also a member of the Southern Berkshire Volunteer Ambulance Squad as an EMT and went on to become a Massachusetts State Examiner for Emergency Medical Technicians.

Agnes is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Peron, her brother Frank Biscotti (Margaret), her daughter Kathryn Grover, her grandsons Michael (Natalie) and Lucas Wartella, her great-grandson Hunter Wartella, and his mother April Vidal. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Philippe (Saundra) Peron. She was predeceased by her son, Myron Paul Wartella, and son-in-law David Grover.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Agnes found her greatest joy in creating a home and an atmosphere that was warm and welcoming for those she loved. Her holidays and family gatherings were filled with food, music, and humor. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She did it with a flair that was uniquely hers. She was well known for her eye rolls. She took great pride in both her home and her sense of fashion. Agnes treasured the everyday moments that brought everyone together.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers in the LEP program at Kimball Farms, especially Jenna and Kristyn, and to Hospice Care of the Berkshires.
