Alice T. Bierwith Evans

February 7, 1927 — September 30, 2021

Alice T. Bierwith Evans, 94, of Lee Massachusetts, died peacefully at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center on September 30, 2021.

Born in Petersburg, NY February 7, 1927, daughter of William and Alice Nugent, she went to work at Montgomery Wards in the catalog department upon graduation from Hoosick Falls High School.

It was during this time that she met and married Robert S. Bierwith and moved to the Berkshires.

She was a homemaker, a scout leader, Sunday school teacher and earned her LPN license. Alice loved being a nurse and pursued her career in the Berkshires and later on Cape Cod, where she was affectionately known as Mom to her co-workers. She treasured her time on Cape Cod.

Upon moving back to the Berkshires, she met and married Howard Evans. Alice was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan, loved traveling and reading mystery stories.

Above all, Alice’s greatest joy was her family. She was predeceased by her parents, husbands and brothers William and Thomas Nugent. Alice is survived by her three children; Robert Bierwith (partner Pam), Janet Johnston (Donald), and Amy Radon (Mark).  She was predeceased by grandson Colin Radon and leaves her grandchildren, Scott Johnston and Shelby Radon, all of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her dear sister Anna Ellen Hurlbut and many beloved nieces and nephews.
