It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Seth Levine of Stockbridge, MA and Bonita Springs, FL. Andy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Toby; his daughters Amy Levine and Caren Pelletier (Michael), grandson Jordan Pelletier, sister Minna Immerman, nieces Gaby and Suzanne Immerman (Mehdi), uncle Ted Bennett, and many cousins.
Andy was a graduate of Columbia University, from which he received a B.S. and B.A.; MIT, from which he received a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, and Northeastern University, from which he received a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering.
Andy had a deep love and appreciation for classical music and enjoyed many afternoons and evenings at Tanglewood. He and Toby have participated in the Tanglewood Music Center Fellows Lunch program for more than 10 years. He was also a passionate believer in social action, and was looking forward to an upcoming trip to Israel. Andy was an active member of Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, which he served as Treasurer and chairman of the Finance Committee for many years. This summer he greatly enjoyed tutoring young students at Muddy Brook Elementary School. And for many years he has been a loyal member of the Lift and Lunch Crunch Bunch at Berkshire South Regional Community Center.
The funeral will be held at Hevreh of Southern Berkshire on Friday, July 21 at 2:30 pm, 270 State Road, Great Barrington, MA 01230. Internment will immediately follow the funeral at Ahavath Shalom Cemetery, Blue Hill Road.
