Anthony J. Lang

Anthony James “Tony” Lang, of Great Barrington, MA, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in Connecticut. He was 35 years old.

Anthony was born on July 11, 1991, in Pittsfield, MA, the son of Thomas and Janice Lang. He attended local schools and was a 2009 graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School.

Tony’s family and friends fondly remember his hardworking, modest, and caring nature. For more than ten years, Tony worked at Windy Hill Farm in Great Barrington, where he developed an aptitude for outdoor work and a passion for horticulture. His love of the outdoors extended well beyond his work. In his free time, Tony enjoyed hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and working out.

Above all, Tony will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit. He was a caring presence in the lives of those who knew and loved him, and he left this earth a kinder and gentler place.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Janice and Thomas Lang; his brother, Matthew Lang, and Matthew’s spouse, Zoe Greene; and his brother, Patrick Lang, and his spouse, Nicholas Rigger. He also leaves many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as the beloved family dog, Donnie.

SERVICES - The family of Anthony James “Tony” Lang will receive friends on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington, MA. A time for sharing reflections and memories will begin at 4:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington, MA, with Rev. William P. Murphy officiating.
