Charles Carroll O'Toole

Charles Carroll O’Toole, 87, a longtime resident of Fairfield, CT passed away on June 13, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family in Great Barrington, MA where he had been living for the past 2 years.
Born February 14, 1931 in Mount Vernon, NY he was the son of the late Charles Carroll O’Toole Sr. and Leona Johnson O’Toole.
Carroll graduated from Ramsey High School and was a 1952 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY. He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy with the First Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment during the Korean War and went on to earn an MBA from the City University of New York.
He was an IT Manager at Mobil Oil Corp. for 30 years. After his retirement in 1990 Carroll taught Statistics and Software Operation at Albertus Magnus College, New Haven, CT; Bridgeport University, Bridgeport, CT and Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Claire Kiermaier O’Toole; three children, Janet Jeans of Branchburg, NJ, Jeanne Barnes (John) of Albany, NY, Steven O’Toole (Mary Frances) of Sugar Grove, WV; and two granddaughters Kathryn Jeans and Amy Jeans.
SERVICES
– The family invites everyone to a memorial gathering on Thursday, August 23rd from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Spears Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
