Christine M. Lombardi, 32, of Sheffield MA, died on September 18th leaving behind her parents, Ralph Lombardi of Sheffield, Jane Hiza and her husband, Frank of Southfield, brother Michael Lombardi of Morro Bay California, sister Melissa Durrin and her nephew River Durrin of Heath, MA and her beloved dog, Louie.
Christine attended both Mount Everett and Monument Mountain high schools where she excelled in academics and sports. Her love of art and graphic design lead her to study at Champlain College in Burlington Vermont and ultimately lead her to many years of fulfilling work at T4 Textile Factory in Sheffield. Christine's talent and hard work lives on in many gorgeous, hand printed fabrics with vibrant colors for which she was responsible for creating. In 2015, Christine moved to California to be with her brother in pursuit of adventure and to start a new chapter in her life. She quickly developed strong friendships with many people before finally settling in the Santa Cruz mountains where she continued to shine her light and build upon her large community. From East to West, Christine was so loved by everyone whose path she crossed. Her smile and laugh could light up the darkest room and everywhere she went, people were drawn to her beauty, inside and out.
Christine loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, fishing, catching sunsets at the beach with her dog and surrounding herself with her close friends and family She was a dedicated and loyal friend with the ability to see the good in everyone she met and was incredibly accepting of people from all walks of life. In addition to friendships, she kept her family at the center of her heart and never let go of that. The last week of her life was spent with her siblings and nephew in Norway on siblings trip which was to be the start of a yearly tradition. The time they spent together hiking, cooking meals, laughing, adventuring and celebrating life made her extremely happy. She was very close with both of her parents and loved them fiercely as well.
She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and friends and will be missed dearly. She would want nothing more than for everyone to shine their love and light upon one another always and forever and never give up and lose sight of what's most important.
