Christine Scott

Christine Scott, 74, passed away on Monday, November 2 nd after a full life filled with

family and friends.

 Born on September 17 th 1952 in New Jersey, Chris enjoyed active

pursuits such as swimming, kayaking, and cross-country skiing. She loved spending

time on the beach and in the water, especially in Stone Harbor, New Jersey which she

viewed as a second home. 

She treasured her family and her cats.

Dedicated to helping people, Chris worked as a dietician and an exercise physiologist.

In 2014, she and her husband Mike moved from New Jersey to Sheffield to run the

Staveleigh House Bed and Breakfast. While running Staveleigh House, she continued

her work in dietetics, this time at Volunteers in Medicine in Great Barrington. Chris was

an active member of her church, both in New Jersey and at the First Congregational

Church of Sheffield. She took on many volunteer rolls throughout the years such as

leadership committees, fundraising, and outreach.

Chris is survived by her husband, Mike Scott and daughter, Alex Scott. She will be

remembered as a loving mother and wife and dedicated member of her community.

A celebration of life will be held at The First Congregational Church of Sheffield on

Sunday, November 22 nd at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the

Alzheimer's Association .
