Constance Mcginn

“ Connie” M. McGinn, 90, died Sunday evening at her residence in Lee, MA.  Born December 17, 1931 to the late Ernest O. Faucher and Antoinette Ducharme Faucher, she was raised in Pittsfield, and then went on to graduate from the former Searles High School in Great Barrington.

Ms. McGinn, once Ms. Milani, held many titles throughout her lifetime; switchboard operator, Friendly’s waitress, Red Lion Inn dining room coordinator, business owner, golf champion, and bowling team ringer.  These titles are only the short version of her story. If she could tell it, there’d be regaling of her favorite (and some less well liked) patrons, her multiple “hole in ones'', the handmade muslin lampshade covers she sold in all 50 states, and her well-loved exclamation, “I’m a Florida Flower!” Her retirement in Boynton Beach, FL brought her decades of joy, friendship, and sunshine where she excelled at bowling, bingo, golf, and bocce. Her final years, back in Berkshire County, were filled with family gatherings, lunches with the ladies, and plenty of raised glasses with “chin-chins” to celebrate a life well lived.

She leaves two daughters, Julie Milani of West Stockbridge and Joy Milani of Lenox and one son, William J. Milani of Albuquerque, NM.  She also leaves 3 sisters, Terry Turner of South Egremont, Pauline Nault of Great Barrington and Irene Aquino of South Lee.  She leaves 5 grandchildren, William Mills of Newport Beach, CA, Sarah Mills of Dorchester, MA, Marina Lane of Washington, DC, Nika Lane of Lee, MA, and Hana Milani of Albuquerque, NM.

SERVICES – There will be a Mass held at the St. Mary’s Church in Lee, MA at 10:00am on Friday, April 22, 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her honor through Finnerty Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA, 01230.
