David Edward Kershaw, 79, of Ashley Falls, MA went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2022.
Born on April 13, 1943 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of Edward Fairfield Kershaw and Katherine Noeller Kershaw of Lockport, NY.
David joined the U.S. Airforce, serving in Vietnam on the security police. He then worked for GM for 30 years. He was always in service to his community serving in many roles of mentorship and stewardship. He was also a committed member of his church and dedicated to his faith. After retiring he continued this life of community service by serving as Chief of Security and Grounds Supervisor at Foxwood Lake Estates in Lakeland, FL. As a faithful Christian he was received by the Lord into His Loving Arms. He will be missed greatly by his family and community.
He leaves behind his wife Mary; daughters, Terri (Martin) Spencer of Lakeland, FL and Lisa (late Mark) Denico, twin sons Kevin and Keith Kershaw all of Lakeland, FL along with his sisters Karen Langdon and Carol Vaughn. He also leaves his grandchildren Amanda Thrower, Michael Thrower, Maredith Fleck, Anthony Fleck, Andrew Kershaw, and Tristen Kershaw as well as six great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother, James Fairfield Kershaw.
SERVICES - A service celebrating the life of David E. Kershaw will be held on Wednesday, June 29 th at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwoods Community Church, 355 Clayton Road, Ashley Falls, MA, conducted by Rev. Lee Gangware. Burial with military honors will follow at Ashley Falls Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 28 th from 5-7 p.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington.
