Edith R. Cappadona

February 6, 1935 — March 31, 2015

Edith (Edie) Cappadona, 80, of Sheffield MA, wife of Richard Cappadona passed away on March 31, 2015. Born in Springfield, MA on February 6, 1935 she was the daughter Lucille Gulotta Carasone, who is currently 99 years old, and the late Jack Maynard. Edie graduated from Stuyvesant High School in NYC. She worked for the city telephone company, was a homemaker and enjoyed her last job before retirement as a Teachers Aid at Searles Middle School in Great Barrington. Her most pleasurable moments in life were cooking, entertaining family and friends, being pool-side and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She found great pleasure traveling to the islands and always looked forward to her monthly trips to the casinos. Along with her mother, Lucille and her husband, Richard, Edie leaves behind her daughter Rose T. Cappadona Seward, her son Victor J. Cappadona as well as her four grandchildren Brandon, CJ, Aleya and Talia. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Lucie Cappadona who passed away in 1978. Funeral services will be held later this spring at a date and time to be announced.
