Emilia J. Bassett Fracasso

Emilia J. Bassett Fracasso, 85, formerly of Sheffield, MA died on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Born in Adams, MA on April 11, 1938 she was the daughter of Robert Kleiner and Mary Bloniarz Kleiner. Emilia obtained her GED and worked in manufacturing for Bicron Electronics.

She and her husband Richard Bassett shared forty-two years of marriage and raised their four children together before he passed away on October 24, 1997.

Emilia loved her family, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Emilia is survived by her children; Catherine Joy (Kenneth), Albert Bassett (Sheila), Dickie Bassett (Betsy) and Andrew Bassett, as well as her thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.  She also leaves her sister Maria Colli.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Bassett, brother Stanley Kleiner and daughter, Mary Bassett.

SERVICES - The family of Emilia Bassett Fracasso will receive friends on Monday, February 26th from 10am to 12 noon followed by a service at noon conducted by Rev. Robert Miskell, pastor Our Lady of the Valley Church at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington, MA.  Burial will follow at Sheffield Center Cemetery with a reception at the Sheffield American Legion.
