It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gary “Jigger” Storti, age 77, of Great Barrington, MA and Venice, FL on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of helpful service as an electrician and kindly sharing his knowledge to help others in need.
Born on September 17, 1946 to Leon and Virginia Storti, Gary grew up in Housatonic, MA and Miami, FL before he made his home in Great Barrington, MA. He graduated from the former Searles High School in Great Barrington, class of 1965. He then graduated from McCann Tech electrical program.
Gary owned and operated Storti Electric, always sharing his electrical dedication and experience for over 60 years throughout the Berkshires.
Gary is preceded by in death by his pride and joy, his son Ryan Storti and his brother Tom Storti.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Storti, his brother Brian of Arizona and his sister Karen in the Berkshires and his many nieces and nephews along with countless friends.
He took great joy in his work as an electrician. Gary loved watching Nascar races, Saturday night at Lebanon Valley Speedway, deer hunting, and helping friends wherever needed. Gary’s helpful nature and work ethic will be dearly missed within his community. It is hoped his memory will bring a smile to those who have known his energetic unfiltered nature and will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know Jigger. May he rest in peace.
A private memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
