Gordon A. Gray

Gordon A. Gray, 83, of Housatonic, Massachusetts passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022.

He was born on October 1, 1938 in North Adams, MA, the son of William A. Gray and Margaret Liles (Reimer).

Gordon worked in sales for Lenox Machine Company/Beloit Corporation. In his world travels, he visited both England and Switzerland for work. Later in his career, Gordon sold RVs at Courtesy Chevrolet in Phoenix. In the 90s he worked for Johnson Ford in Pittsfield and Great Barrington. He also owned Smitty’s Sandwich Shop in Great Barrington for a short time. He was an avid and a long-time New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife Irene Gray, son Ken Gray of Portsmouth, NH, daughters Kelly Ann Gray from Long Beach, NY, and Kimberly Gray of Las Vegas, NV, and his granddaughter Lucy Hinojosa of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by his brother William Gray and wife Patricia of Kent, WA, nephew Todd Gray and wife Belinda and daughter Jasmine of WA, and niece Christine McGarr and husband Robb, daughter Julia, and son Tristan of WA. He also leaves behind his step-son Jeremy Harding and wife Brigette and granddaughter Cora of Rutherfordton, NC, as well as his niece, Yvonne Skiba, and his brother-in-law Anthony Slupinski of Housatonic, MA. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Christine Hoskeer and her husband Norman (Skip) Hoskeer from Pittsfield, MA. Gordon also leaves his beloved cat, Rosie.

Gordon was predeceased by his parents William A. Gray, Margaret Liles, his step-mother Doris Gray, and his brother Bruce Gray.

The family would like to say thank you so all the nurses on the second floor of Fairview Hospital for their service and would also like to extend a special thank you for Dr. Clark for his compassion and care.

SERVICES – The family will receive friends on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington, MA. A memorial service led by Pastor Van will begin at 10:00am following the calling hours. The burial will immediately follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 90 Stockbridge Road, Great Barrington, MA.
