Ingrid Ann Hagberg Stedman

Ingrid Ann Hagberg Stedman, 59, passed away on August 8, 2026, at her home in Barrington, NH. Born in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of Donald and Judith Hagberg, and the sister to Jonathan and Eric Hagberg. 

Ingrid attended local schools, including Monument Mountain Regional High School where she played basketball and soccer, and ran track and field. She graduated as salutatorian in 1984. She received her bachelor's degree from Middlebury College in 1988, where she majored in chemistry and played for the school's basketball team. She married her first husband, Richard Sierra, in 1993. They had their two children, Dylan and Sage, in 1995 and 1997, in Boston, MA. They eventually resided in Wells, ME. 

Ingrid graduated from nursing school at the University of New England in 2011. She went on to have a long and dedicated career in healthcare as a nurse at hospitals across New Hampshire, including Wentworth Douglass Hospital, Catholic Medical Center, and Portsmouth Regional Hospital. She was loved tremendously by her patients and colleagues alike. Ingrid was also an avid lover of the outdoors and connected deeply with nature through countless hikes, bike rides, runs and swims with friends and family. She loved to push her limits, and competed in numerous road races, triathlons, and Iron Mans. 

Ingrid married her second husband, Robert Stedman, in 2019. Over the last decade, they shared a love for adventure and spent weekends sailing, kayaking, and camping across the Northeast. They built a home in Barrington, NH, surrounded by lush gardens she cultivated. She was looking forward to retreating to their newly built home in Amherst, VA for peace and serenity. Ingrid is survived by her father, Donald; her brothers, Jonathan and Eric; her ex-husband, Richard; her children, Dylan and Sage; her husband, Robert; her stepchildren, Daniel, Hillary and Elizabeth; and her many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Judith. 

A wake and service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Great Barrington at a date and time to be announced.
