Jared A. Tagge

Born on July 21, 1986 in Baton Rouge, LA, he was the son of James and Risë Babin Tagge of Stockbridge, MA.

In 1991 the family moved to the Berkshires.  Jared was homeschooled and went on to the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. After college he moved to Shenzhen where he taught Chemistry and Biology in a Chinese high school.  He also established his own English School, “ PHOENIX ENGLISH”.

Jared met his future wife, Wen Ying Yi (Sophia) in Shenzhen and they married on December 13, 2013.

Along with his wife, Sophia, and his parents, James and Risë Tagge of Stockbridge, MA, Jared is survived by his sisters, Laura and Mary Tagge and his brother, Joshua Tagge.

SERVICES - Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St, Joseph’s Church in Stockbridge, MA, conducted by Father Michael Flannery.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, MA.
