Joan A. Thompson

Joan A. Thompson, 75, passed away Tuesday morning, November 2, 2021, at Hillcrest Commons Nursing Center in Pittsfield, MA.

She was born on January 2, 1946, at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, MA. She was the daughter of Robert E. and Ethel V. (Page) Thompson.

Joan was a lifetime resident of the Berkshires and worked at Coyle Printing, after which she enjoyed being a Professional Nanny for several local families. Joan also reveled working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Fairview Commons. She was dedicated to ensuring her patients received high-quality care.

She was an active member of the Church on the Hill in Lenox, MA. She made ceramics, liked to write letters to those she loved, enjoyed spending time with kids, and was always available to help those around her.

Joan is survived by her sister Elizabeth Boulanger of Pittsfield, MA, and her four nephews William Boulanger (Pamela)of Pittsfield, Mike Munger (Kathy) of Florida, Steve Munger (Tracy) of Adams, and Pete Harris (Marcia) of Pittsfield, along with many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother Lawrence Webster of Campbell, CA and one nephew Dean B. Munger of Killeen, TX.

SERVICES – There will be a service on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:00am at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington, MA. The burial will immediately follow at Corashire Cemetery on Blue Hill Road in Monterey, MA. There will be no calling hours.
