Joanna J. Epstein

Joanna J. Epstein died April 9, 2024 at Ghent Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Ghent, NY with her mother at her side. She was 49 years old.

Born on June 16, 1974 in Hollywood, FL, she was the daughter of Francine (Tepper) Eget and the late Prof. Anatol Epstein.  She graduated from Richmond Hill High School and later attended Pace University.

Joanna is survived by her devoted mother, Francine Eget; her life partner, Kevin O’Rourke, her uncle, Dr. Jesse Tepper; her aunt, Dr. Brenda Tepper; her first cousins, Jonathan and Elizabeth Tepper, many second cousins, multiple half siblings, her devoted friend Roey Levy as well as her devoted caretaker, Sharon Morris.  She also leaves her cat Chuchy and many neighborhood felines who were often in her care.

Joanna was a brilliant, beautiful and creative young woman who showed extraordinary strength and grace facing MS and other life challenges.

A private funeral service was held at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington with a burial following at Corashire Cemetery in Monterey, MA.
