Judith Lee Corbett

Judith “Judy” Lee Corbett, 80, of Great Barrington, MA died peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Berkshire Medical Center with her daughters at her side.

Judy was born in Pittsfield, MA on March 16, 1944, the daughter of Medeo and Lena Morandi of Alford, MA. She graduated from Mount Everett Regional High School in 1961 and went on to earn an Associate Degree from Berkshire Community College. She had two daughters with Paul Corbett of Palm Harbor, FL. Soon after college she went to work for the phone company, the beginning of her 40+ year career in sales and management. She retired from Verizon Communications in 2017, having received many awards and professional achievements.

Known for her kindness, sense of humor, and boundless energy, Judy loved gardening, reading, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She was a volunteer at the Great Barrington Senior Center and a member of the Thursday Morning Club. The local community and the neighborhood she lived in for over 50 years held a special place in her heart.

Judy is survived by her beloved daughters, Kelly Corbett of Saint Petersburg, FL and Kristen Corbett of Great Barrington, MA. She leaves behind a sister, Bonnie Perotti of East Canaan, CT, and many adoring nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Ida Leonard of New Marlborough, MA and Mary Ann Warner of Egremont, MA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main St., Great Barrington. A Liturgy of Christian Mass will be delivered on Friday, January 31 at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church in Great Barrington, the Rev. William Murphy officiating. Following Mass, family and friends are welcome to attend a celebratory reception. A burial will be held at a later date.
