June Crandall

June Isabelle Bliven Crandall, 94, of Otis, MA passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 31, 2022.

The daughter of the late Raymond F. and Irene Dorhamer Bliven, she was born June 27, 1927 in Otis and attended local schools.  She was a graduate of Lee High School, class of 1944 and Iowa State University, class of 1948.  She taught school in Yarmouth, MA before marrying her late husband, Lorn C. Crandall, Sr. on December 24, 1949.  They settled in Otis and raised twelve children together.

June is survived by five sons, Lorn Crandall, Jr. of Deland, FL, Charles Crandall, Brian (Lucy) Crandall, James (Mimi) Crandall, and Nathan Crandall all of Otis, MA, four daughters, Rindalee (Victor) Akinbobola of Waldorf, MD, Edith (Rob) Edwards of Summerville, SC, Shirley (Mike) Petithory of Cheshire, MA and Marian (Mike) Carr of Sandisfield, MA, as well as twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.  She also leaves a sister Joan (Harold) Brown of Lawrenceville, GA and a sister-in-law Shirley Bliven of Melbourne, FL.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, June, sons, Timothy and Raymond, and a grandson.  She was also predeceased by her brothers, Francis, Raymond, and Charles and her sisters, Geraldine and Martha.

SERVICES – A Celebration of June’s life will be held on June 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Otis.  Burial will follow immediately in the Otis Cemetery.
