Karen Lee Guerin

Karen Lee Guerin, 81, a longtime resident of Great Barrington, MA died on Friday, July 26, 2024 at The Landing at Laurel Lake in Lee, MA.

Born February 1, 1943 in Great Barrington, MA she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Alma Anselmini Hebert.  She attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Searles High School in Great Barrington, MA.  Over the years she worked at the former Catherine’s Chocolates, Country Curtains and was a para-professional for the Berkshire Hills Regional School District.

Karen enjoyed the outdoors.  She was an avid gardener and enjoyed taking weekend hikes with her beloved family and labs, Nikki and Marley. She loved country music, baking and cherished spending time with her grandsons.

Karen is survived by her two daughters, Brenda North (Christopher), and Melissa Guerin, as well as her grandson, Lucas North.  She also leaves her sisters, Judy Goudey (Donny), Sally Cardillo (Jerry), Lorraine Hebert and Joan Watroba (Bill), and her brother, Ronald Hebert (Bonnie Smith).

She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Theodore Guerin, in 2011.  The couple was married on August 27, 1966.  She was also predeceased by her grandson, Matthew North in 2024.

SERVICES - The family will receive friends on Monday, August 5th from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home conducted by Rev. William P. Murphy.  Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Great Barrington, MA.
