Leo Francis Colli, a former longtime resident of Glendale, passed away at Berkshire Medical Center on October 8, 2021.
Leo was born on June 6, 1937 in West Stockbridge, MA, the son of Leno and Rose (Delmolino) Colli. He married his wife, Maria (Kleiner) Colli, on August 24, 1957 at St. Joseph Church in Stockbridge, MA.
Leo served in the Army as a Staff Sergeant for nine years. After his service, he worked as a Power Energy Supervisor at Mead Paper for many years and retired in 1997.
Leo was an active communicant of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Housatonic and enjoyed membership at Berkshire South. He was a founding member of the Stockbridge Sportsman Club where he found a lot of joy.
Leo is survived by his wife Maria Colli, his three children, Anthony Colli (Nora Sullivan), June Powell (Michael), and David Colli (Dawn). He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Maria Colli, Mason Colli, McKenna Powell, Cam Powell, Noel Powell, Meredith Powell, and Ty Colli, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Leo was predeceased by his parents, his sister Julia DiNicola, his brother-in-law, Armando DiNicola, and his nephew Peter DiNicola.
SERVICES – The family will receive friends on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 8:30am-9:30am at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington, MA. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be led by Rev. William Murphy on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Teresa of Calcutta, 1085 Main Street, Housatonic, MA 01236. Burial will follow at St. Bridget's Cemetery on Van Deusenville Road, Housatonic, MA.
