Lloyd White

May 13, 1948 — June 15, 2023

C. Lloyd White, “Whitey” of West Stockbridge, MA passed on June 15, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Middleburg, New York on May 13, 1948, son of Coral “Bus” and Hazel White, both predeceased. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane, whom he remained best friends with for 48 years, his children and grandchildren; Brandon (Sarah) Brody White, Cortney (Jason) Kayla Dupont, Lori Vacchina Broderick, Skylar (Derek), Marisa, Maeven (Seth), Johnny (Valeria), Sidney, great granddaughter; Waylyn, brother Bob (Betty) White, nieces Heather (Todd)Mitchell, Ashley (Arron)Parsons, great nieces; Syd and Kadence and his many beloved cousins, companion and friends.

He graduated from Mount Everett Regional High School with the class of 1966 and went on to attend Mercury Motor Mechanic School which led to his lifelong career of excavating. He was a master of operating big equipment and has left his mark across the Berkshires with his skills in helping to create some of the most beautiful spring fed ponds, rockscapes, bridges and roads, all leading to the foundations he skillfully dug. Being the patriarch of an enormously close-knit family was his greatest pride. His joy was being surrounded by them as often as possible for family dinners, sporting events, holidays, and lively board and card games. He was involved with all of their lives; supported their every dream and was there to offer his sage support and shoulder to lean on at all times. He was an accomplished athlete and shared his many talents with his children, grandchildren and local youth; coaching them in softball, baseball and volleyball, helping to facilitate the first girls’ volleyball league in the area and coaching the Mount Everett girls on to victory! His greatest passion was his Harley and being an avid sportsman. Whether locally or traveling across the country with his many, many lifelong “hunting buddies” son and son in law, he was never happier than being in the woods or around a card table with them all.

All who knew and loved Lloyd will agree the world will be a little less colorful without him in it.
