Miladeen Wyman

June 7, 1933 — May 3, 2023

On May 3, 2023, Miladeen (Milli) Wyman of Hartsville, MA passed peacefully, right where she wanted to be, at her home, with her family at her side. She will be deeply missed by all of us.

Milli was born on June 7, 1933 in Eagar, Arizona to George Lorenzo Maxwell and Mary Alice (Hale) Maxwell.

Her parents were ranchers and she lived on ranches in various locations during the summer. In the winter she lived in Eagar where she attended school. She graduated from Round Valley High School and went on to Lamson Business School in Phoenix, AZ. After graduating in 1951, she worked as a secretary for an insurance company. She married, had 3 daughters and later divorced. When she went back to Eagar, she met and married Charlie Wyman. They moved to Ashland, Oregon where their son was born.

In 1966 the family moved to Hartsville, and they bought the lumberyard and sawmill that was previously owned by Charlie. She did all of the bookkeeping for Wyman and Son Lumber while also caring for her children and her home. She made beautiful clothes for her girls and made sure they learned to cook, sew, can goods from the garden and appreciate nature.

She led a well lived life. She enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s plays, sporting events, graduations and birthdays. They could always count on Grami/ Grilli (combo of Gram and Milli) to be there cheering them on. She got to know and was a friend to her neighbors in the small village and took some of their children with them on their family vacations. Milli and family explored the New England states and took trips to the coasts in the summer. They made several cross country trips to Arizona to visit family. They would take different routes each time so that the children could learn about and see different states.

She enjoyed bowling and was holding the high average title for women in her league until recently when her health didn’t allow her to continue. She was an avid fan of sports and especially enjoyed watching the Cowboys and the Red Sox. She loved dancing, going to casinos, playing cards with family and friends, and could be found at Lebanon Valley Speedway on Saturday nights cheering her grandsons on to victory lane. She also enjoyed traveling and went to Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, Las Vegas, several Caribbean Islands and took a cruise to Nova Scotia. She also travelled to North Carolina to visit one grandson and watch another one race in Charlotte.  She still kept in touch with her class mates and attended her class reunions in Arizona. Some of her friends from Arizona made the trip to Massachusetts to visit her.

Milli leaves behind her four children Sherri Bachetti, Rene Williams (Carl), Melanie Neely and Chuck Wyman, her seven grandchildren Andy Bachetti (Natalie), Greg Bachetti (Wynter), Jeff Watson (Sierra), Shane Watson, Mindi Kushi (Jim), Alyssa Neely  and Trevor Neely.

She also leaves nine great grandchildren Blake Bachetti, Delaina Bachetti, Bryce Bachetti, Kolton Bachetti, Bristol Watson, Chase Watson, Amelia Watson, Karley Kushi and Riley Kushi.

She was predeceased by her husband Charlie Wyman in 1985, two grandchildren Courtney Watson and Cody Williams, and a great grandchild Colby Bachetti.

One of us was always calling on her for advice, a bookkeeping question, a recipe, or cooking question. She was always there to help out. Her presence will be greatly missed.

Per her wishes, there will be a private celebration of life which will be held in June.

The family is grateful to the New Marlborough Fire and Rescue team for their assistance at a difficult time. In honor of Milli’s memory, donations can be made to:
