June 9, 1940 — May 29, 2015

Nancy S. Cobden, 74, of Sheffield Road in South Egremont passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. She was born on June 9, 1940 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Mrs. Cobden worked as a newspaper writer, an advertising executive and a saleswoman for printing firms in the Hartford area. Nancy loved to dance. She enjoyed photography and being outdoors golfing and working in her beautiful gardens. She looked forward to being at their home on Cape Cod visiting with family and friends and walking on the beaches. She was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Great Barrington. Her faith was an important part of her daily life from which she drew strength to face the challenges of bone marrow cancer, a stem cell transplant and a compromised immune system. Her journal entries on Caring Bridge were an inspiration to all who read them. Nancy is survived by her husband The Rev. Ted Cobden, her two step children; Ted and his wife Cindy Cobden and Evie Cunliffe and her former husband Steve Cunliffe, her four grandchildren; Christy Cunliffe Yeo and her husband Elie Yeo, Jenny Cunliffe, David Cunliffe and Daniel Cobden; and her recently arrived great granddaughter Evelyne Nancy Yeo.
