Patricia "Pat" Hines

September 6, 1928 — December 13, 2016

Patricia "Pat" Hines, 88, passed away at home on December 13, 2016. Pat and husband, Jack, lived in Great Barrington before moving to Florida in 1988 and to Texas in 2012.

Aside from her passion of delivering babies into the world the love for her kids, grandchildren, and great grand children was unconditional. The miles separating she and Jack from some of the family never stopped her knowing what each and every one of us was doing by chatting on the phone, face timing, and even texting.

While in Great Barrington, working at Fairview Hospital as a Maternity/Delivery Room Nurse began her career locally, later working for Dr. Richard Clarke as his office nurse for many years, as well as Dr. Daniel Patel as office nurse for many years. Her love of delivering babies into this world brought her to work alongside Dr. Raymond Haling at his Birthing Center in Pittsfield.

The move to Florida brought her passion to working at The Women's Center in Stuart alongside Nurse Midwives.

Over the years she and Jack were world travelers. They traveled to Ireland numerous times along with Italy, Scotland, and many other countries.

Our Mom leaves the most dedicated and loving husband of 66 years that anyone could ever have. They were blessed with one son and five daughters. Locally she leaves behind their daughter Meghan and son-in-law Alan Ziegler along with their children.

Services will be at a later date in Great Barrington.
