Rebecca Carnow Jones

Rebecca Ann Carnow Jones, 57, of Maple Avenue in Great Barrington passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at her home.

Born in Chicago, IL on February 9, 1962, she was the daughter of Bertram and Virginia Carnow.  She attended local schools and went on to earn her law degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

In the early 1990’s Mrs. Jones opened the first sole law practice by a woman in Jacksonville, IL.  She devoted countless hours to helping indigent people, women and children.

Rebecca will be remembered as a loving person.  She was a phenomenal seamstress, excellent chef and gardener.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years, Royce P. Jones, whom she married on November 18, 1989.  She also leaves two sisters, Tina Lisa Carnow of Los Angeles, CA and Kalinka Rose Carnow of Newport Beach, CA.
