Richard "Dick" Krzynowek

Richard “Dick” Krzynowek, 70, of Baldwin Hill in Egremont, MA died on Saturday, August 12, 2017 after a 20 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease that rarely slowed him down.
A native and lifelong resident, he was born in Great Barrington, MA on December 16, 1946 the son of Eleanor Benway Cross and the late Stanley Krzynowek. He attended local schools, graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in Bronx, NY and graduated from Boston University.
Dick joined Isgood Realty as an agent in 1973. He along with various partners built Isgood into a presence throughout Berkshire County serving both residential and commercial clients. He became the president of Isgood Realty in 1980, a position he held until his recent retirement. His broad knowledge of the marketplace, business acumen and personality made him the "go to" person amongst peers earning him the title of the dean of Berkshire county real estate.
Dick loved his community and was involved in many civic activities including being a past President of Great Barrington Rotary, a former member of Hope Fire Department, United Way and served on the Hometown Hero’s Parade Committee.
He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and automobile enthusiast.
Along with his mother Eleanor, he is survived by his daughter Kimberly Farnen and her husband Brian of Fairfield, CT and two grandchildren Ella and Chad Farnen.
He was predeceased by his son Chad, his father Stanley, stepmother Janet Krzynowek and stepfather Dr. Valmore Cross.
The family invites everyone to join them for a graveside service on Thursday, August 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Great Barrington, conducted by Rev. William Murphy.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 16th from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington.
