Sharen Lee Engwer

Sharen Lee (Sainio) Engwer, 66, of Sheffield, MA passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at home after a four-year battle with cancer.

She was born on January 25, 1955 to Veikko Sainio and Joan Hallock in Westfield, MA. She was a 1973 graduate of Gateway Regional High School.

Sharen’s favorite pastime was salt water fishing in Connecticut and Rhode Island and shopping for flip flops and moose items.

Sharen is survived by her partner of 28 years, Paul Kosik, who took care of her to the end. She is also survived by her children Kiirsten Cooper (Steve) and Erik Pedersen (Suzy) as well as her grandchildren Aliisa, Nick, Shane, Ava, and Chris. She also leaves her sisters Karen Avery, Susan Brashear, Carol Willey, Nance Willey, Cher McLaughlin and her brother Kevin Beatty.

Sharen was predeceased by her parents, her second Mom, Beverly Sainio, and her brother Don Willey.
