Tash B. Anton, 100, of Westfield passed away peacefully at Kimball Farms Nursing Center in Lenox, MA on May 13, 2024. She was born in Easthampton, MA on September 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Mieczyslaw and Jozefa (Stefanowicz) Bozek. Tash left Easthampton to attend Goodman Memorial, a part of the Art Institute of Chicago, to study theatre. Tash continued on to The Gloucester School of the Theatre, where she studied under Florence Cunningham. She then went on to be an acting and directing member of the Cleveland Playhouse, eventually making her way to New York City where she lived for 62 years and worked as an actress, sculptor, and designer for The Avon Company. Tash and her late husband Stanley had a home in Sandisfield where she was involved in local politics and became a member of the Planning Board, befriending many families.
Tash leaves her nieces and nephew Dr. Gregory Bozek, Deborah Bozek, Madelyn Baladi, and Mary Mustion.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Anton, her sisters Wanda D'Alessio, Veronica, Mary and Stella Bozek and her brothers Stanley and Dr. Thaddeus Bozek, and her nephews James and Steven Bozek.
SERVICE – A service celebrating Tash’s life will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA. Calling hours will be from 11:00AM until the time of the service. Burial will be private.
