Warren Ray Wilcox, 93, of Sheffield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026. Born on April 2, 1933, in Harwinton, CT, he was the son of the late Carl Martin Wilcox and Lillian (Fritch) Wilcox. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan (Thomas) Wilcox, and great-grandchildren, Parker Allen Kilmer and Brayden Warren Kilmer.
Warren proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy Seabees. A dedicated and hardworking man, he spent much of his life as a dairy farmer until 1988, after which he continued farming by raising beef cattle, pigs, and sheep. He had a deep passion for agriculture and took great pride in cultivating dahlias and gladiolas.
A lifelong supporter of youth development, Warren was a former member of Litchfield County 4-H and remained an enthusiastic advocate of its programs throughout his life. He also found great joy in raising standardbred trotters and pacers, with a special fondness for his horse, Judge Willie.
In his later years, Warren discovered a love for creative expression, pursuing both writing and painting in watercolor and acrylics.
He is survived by his children: Sandra (Thomas) Silk, Wayne (Jennifer) Wilcox, Thomas (Kate) Wilcox, and Julie (Brian) Machowski. He also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren: Martin (Rebecka) Willis, Amanda Silk, Cameron (Robert) Kilmer, Kimberly (Michael) Hooper, Lillian (Thomas Stevens) Silk, Brittany (Christopher) Giesselman, Brian (Jasmine) Machowski, Lawrence (Emma) Wilcox, and Daniel Silk; as well as thirteen great-grandchildren: Morgan, Daniela, Alexander, Charles, Oscar, Hazel, Colby, Amelia, Karsyn, Veronica, Gus, Warren, and Caleb.
The family will receive friends for calling hours on Friday, April 24th, from 1 pm – 3 pm, the service conducted by Rev. Jill Graham, starting at 3 pm at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home. Immediately after the service, a celebration of life will be held at the Sheffield Fire Dept. Burial will be held on Saturday, April 25th, at 10 am at West Cemetery on Cemetery Rd in Harwinton, CT
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sheffield Hose Company or Litchfield County 4-H, c/o Finnerty and Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, Massachusetts 01230.
