William T. Heenan

William T. Heenan, 70, of East Stahl Road, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at home.

Born on April 4, 1948 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marion Hayner Heenan.

William was raised and educated in New York having attended Siena College and becoming an accountant for the State of New York for thirty-five years.

William married his wife, Claire Gerdes Heenan in 1975, she passed away in 2013. They cherished spending time together in both the Adirondack and Berkshire Mountains, camping and fishing as often as possible.

William was a former member of The Elks Lodge in Watervliet, NY and an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. William was a “great guy” and a wonderful friend to all who knew him. He loved watching golf and was always busy working on projects around the house. But above all, he was an amazing husband, father and grandfather to Julia’s three beloved dogs.

William is survived by his daughter Julia Heenan and her three dogs; Abigail Jane, Isabella Rose and Suzzie Q, all of Ashley Falls, MA. He is also survived by his caregivers who became family, Miss. Beth Crowell, Andy Crowell and their children, Erin, Casey, Andy, Jr., Stephanie and her husband Stephen Rigazio and their son, Alex.

In accordance with his wishes, services will be private.
