Anita Del Mar

Berkshire native Mrs. Anita (Bliven) del Mar, 60, of Great Barrington, passed away on April 5, 2021 from complications due to Covid-19.  She was a beloved wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by Luis del Mar , her faithful husband of twenty years; her three children and their families; Glen with Stephanie and their children Ely and Jackson; Sean with Shasta and their daughter Anna; and Dawn with Carl.  Anita also leaves behind her younger brother Bruce Bliven Sr. and a nephew Bruce Bliven Jr.  She considered that the friendships of more than 20 years with Ms. Kerry Sheridan, Mrs. Linda Spirydowski, and Mr. Dilan Ramirez counted them as beloved family members.

Anita, also known as Skeeter, was a 10-year employee of Aubuchon Hardware in Great Barrington.  She enjoyed her job and was good at it.  She liked nothing better than to help customers find a way to fix a problem. Or to find that one product that just fit exactly what they needed.

Anita was full of humor and optimism.  Always wanting to believe the best in people.  She was generous and kind and loving.  She was all of these things. And she is missed.

SERVICE - There are no calling hours. The memorial service for Anita and her husband Luis, who passed away on April 26, 2021, will be held on Saturday May 8, @ 11:00 A.m. in French Park, 65 Prospect Lake Road, Egremont, Mass.  All who knew them and wish to celebrate their life, please come be with us. And please wear your mask.
